[art #446]. Limited Edition Print by Steve Dunn.

The Norton International was a landmark motorcycle representing the pinnacle of British engineering and craftsmanship during the early 20th century. Often referred to as the "Inter" this model was derived from Norton's successful racing machines and was available in both 350cc and 500cc versions. The International was powered by an overhead-cam single-cylinder engine that was advanced for its time and which was capable of delivering a smooth and reliable power output of around 30bhp giving the bike a top speed of approximately 90mph, a remarkable achievement in the 1930s. The International was also notable for its handling thanks to the well-engineered frame and suspension making it a favourite among racers and enthusiasts alike. The bike's classic design with its exposed engine, wire-spoke wheels and polished metal finishes demonstrates the elegance and precision that Norton was known for. The Norton International embodies the spirit of the golden age of classic British motorcycling as well as the company's superb racing heritage.
