The 1975 Norton Commando
850 Roadster was a notable British motorcycle
renowned for its blend of power, comfort, and style. The 850cc
parallel-twin engine produced around 58bhp with lots of torque and
a top speed of around 115mph. In Roadster form with the smaller tank option
it had a sportier image and was the fastest accelerating motorbike of it's day.
The black colour scheme to my mind added to its
understated timeless appeal with the chrome and polished metal
complementing its elegant design. The Commando's "Isolastic"
frame system continued to provide a smooth and vibration-free ride, a
feature that set it apart from many of its contemporaries. The 1975
Norton Commando 850 Roadster is celebrated for its power and sweet handling, and the classic British
styling that made it a favourite among motorcycle enthusiasts and
collectors around the world.
