The 1975 Norton Commando
850 Interstate shown here in black is a great British classic motorcycle
famed for its blend of power, comfort, and style. The 850cc
parallel-twin engine produced 58bhp with ample torque and
a top speed of around 115mph making it a capable long-distance
machine. The Interstate model featured a larger fuel tank for extended range, a comfortable seat, and
an upright riding position that made it ideal for covering long
distances. The Commando's "Isolastic"
frame design provided a smooth and vibration-free ride, a
feature that set it apart from many of its contemporaries. The
Norton Commando 850 Interstate is celebrated for its reliable
