[art #310B]. Limited Edition Print by Steve Dunn.
Shown here in blue, the 1976 Moto Guzzi Le Mans MkI is one of
the most well known sportsbikes of the 1970s and is known for its combination of
performance, style, and the distinctive character that defines Moto
Guzzi motorcycles. Powered by an 844cc V-twin engine, the Le Mans MkI
produced 71bhp, which allowed it to reach a top speed of around
130mph. The engine was paired with a five-speed transmission and was
known for its strong torque making the Le Mans a formidable machine
both on the road and the track. The MkI featured a streamlined,
aerodynamic design with a distinctive bikini fairing, flat handlebars,
and a sleek fuel tank that gave it an aggressive, purposeful look.
The Le Mans MkI was
a fine handler with a well-balanced chassis and responsive
suspension that made it a joy to ride on twisty roads. The Le
Mans MkI is now hailed as a classic of the sportsbike genre admired for
its distinctive style, impressive performance, and the unique riding
experience it offered.
