The 1974 Laverda 750SFC is one of the most famous
and revered motorcycles in the history of Italian sportsbikes. The
"SFC" stands for "Super Freni Competizione" a name that reflects its
racing pedigree and high-performance capabilities. Powered by a 744cc
parallel-twin engine the 750SFC produced 70bhp which was an
impressive figure for its time. This engine combined with a lightweight
frame and track-ready suspension allowed the bike to reach speeds of
up to 130mph, making it a dominant force on the race circuit. The 750SFC was
easily recognisable by its striking orange bodywork, a colour that became
synonymous with Laverda's racing success. The bike's minimalist design,
with solo racing seat, clip-on handlebars, and the stylish half
fairing, emphasised its focus on speed and agility. Only a limited
number of 750SFCs were produced and each one was hand-built with
meticulous attention to detail. Today the 1974 Laverda 750SFC is a
highly sought-after collector's item cherished for its racing heritage,
distinctive style, and the raw, exhilarating performance it delivers.
