[art #358]. Limited Edition Print by Steve Dunn.
By 1973, the Kawasaki 500 H1 had already
established itself as a legend in the motorcycling world, and this model added an extra layer of visual appeal. Known as
the Mach III, the 1973 version retained the powerful 498cc two-stroke
triple engine that had made it famous, delivering the same 60bhp
that provided exhilarating acceleration and a top speed of around 120
mph. The green paintwork gave the H1 a distinctive, vibrant appearance
that was both stylish and reflective of Kawasaki's racing heritage. This
version of the H1 also featured some refinements in its chassis and
suspension, improving its handling characteristics and making it
slightly more rider-friendly while still maintaining its raw, powerful
essence. The Kawasaki 500 H1 from 1973 is cherished by collectors
and enthusiasts for its infamous reputation, vibrant colour, and the thrill it
offered to those brave enough to tame it.
