The Ducati 750 Super Sport (750SS) of 1974 is one of the most iconic motorcycles ever produced, celebrated for its performance, style, and racing pedigree. Born out of Ducati's historic victory at the 1972 Imola 200, the 750SS was powered by a 748cc L-twin engine, featuring the now-legendary Desmodromic valve system that Ducati is known for. This engine produced around 73bhp, enabling the 750SS to reach speeds in excess of 130mph. The 750SS was instantly recognisable by its distinctive pale green frame, silver bodywork, and the characteristic hump on its solo racing seat. It was equipped with top-tier components, including Brembo brakes and Marzocchi suspension which provided exceptional handling and stopping power. Only a limited number of these bikes were produced making it a rare and highly prized model among collectors. The 750SS is not just a motorcycle; it's a piece of Ducati's racing heritage, embodying the passion and engineering prowess that have defined the brand.
