Artwork detail

[art #414]. Limited Edition Print by Steve Dunn.

The BSA A65 Spitfire is a high-performance British motorcycle that epitomised the spirit of the 1960s, blending speed, style, and power in a striking package. Introduced in 1966 as part of BSA's A65 range, the Spitfire was the most powerful version of the 650cc parallel-twin engine, producing up to 53bhp, thanks to its high-compression pistons and Amal GP carburettors. This allowed the Spitfire to reach speeds of over 120mph, making it one of the fastest production motorcycles of its time. The bike's aggressive styling, complete with twin carburettors and a distinctive fuel tank, appealed to a new generation of riders looking for both performance and flair. The A65 Spitfire was also equipped with improved suspension and brakes, ensuring it handled as well as it performed. Whether on the open road or the racetrack, the BSA A65 Spitfire delivered an exhilarating riding experience, cementing its place as a classic in the annals of British motorcycling history.
